Support Meatpacking Workers in Greater Minnesota by donating to the Greater Minnesota Worker Center
As we have all heard, meatpacking plants are turning into ground zero for the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, workers are fighting back. Over recent days workers at Pilgrim’s Pride Facility in Cold Spring, MN walked off the job over safety concerns as many workers have tested positive for the virus. The Greater Minnesota Worker Center has been on the front-lines, with our lone staff-person risking his own health supporting the walkout with over 100 workers earlier this week and the ongoing response work of keeping workers and their families safe during this time.

With economic challenges facing non-profit organizations in this COVID-19 pandemic, this worker center, the only of its kind in Greater Minnesota, needs help to continuing supporting these worker. The critical organizing we are supporting notwithstanding, internal and external challenges have left us in very real danger of having to close our doors in the coming months.
We are asking for your financial support for the Greater Minnesota Worker Center as our board, staff, and allies work to craft a sustainable long-term strategic plan to complement the COVID-19 emergency safety organizing, pay our staff, and keep our office open. Please donate an amount that feels affordable and meaningful to you. Thank you for your support for this movement.
Sincerely,
The Greater Minnesota Worker Center Board of Directors
