Greater Minnesota Worker Center Statement on DACA

Today the Trump administration announced it would end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in 6 months unless Congress comes forward with a legislative solution. This decision affects our families, our friends, our neighbors and the entire community. It is the wrong decision and is morally repulsive. Immigrants have been and will continue to be a valuable and integral part of our community and we will work to ensure their legal and human rights are respected and protected. Congress must act to pass the Dream Act and to pass an immigration reform bill. We expect no less and will hold our elected officials accountable.
