Join Us at the ICE Out Day of Protest

Stand Together for Our Community

The Greater Minnesota Worker Center (GMWC) invites community members, workers, faith leaders, students, families, labor allies, and advocates to join us for the ICE Out Day of Protest on January 23, 2026, at the Great River Regional Library in St. Cloud.

This community gathering is an opportunity to come together in solidarity with immigrant families and workers who are experiencing fear and uncertainty due to increased immigration enforcement activity in our region. We will stand alongside partners including Americans for Democracy, local DFL members, labor unions, community activists, and many others who believe that every member of our community deserves dignity, safety, and respect.

Why We Are Gathering

Across Greater St. Cloud, immigrant families are facing difficult decisions as heightened immigration enforcement activity affects their daily lives. Many community members are afraid to go to work, attend appointments, shop for groceries, or participate in public life.

At GMWC, we believe that strong communities are built when neighbors support one another and stand together during challenging times. The ICE Out Day of Protest is an opportunity to demonstrate that the St. Cloud community values inclusion, human dignity, and the contributions that immigrant workers and families make every day.

This event is about more than raising awareness. It is about building community power and encouraging residents to become active participants in shaping the future of our city.

Learn About Important City Council Resolutions

As part of this effort, GMWC is encouraging residents to learn about two local resolutions that are expected to be discussed at the upcoming St. Cloud City Council meeting on January 26, 2026.

These resolutions have the potential to impact our community and deserve thoughtful public engagement. We encourage residents to review the proposals, learn about their implications, and participate in the democratic process by attending meetings, sharing their perspectives, and engaging with local elected officials.

Community change happens when people stay informed and make their voices heard.

Why Your Presence Matters

Throughout history, community members coming together peacefully and collectively have helped shape policies, protect neighbors, and strengthen democratic institutions. Every person who attends demonstrates that our community cares about fairness, accountability, and the well-being of all residents.

Whether you are a longtime organizer or attending your first public event, your presence matters.

Together, we can:

  • Support immigrant families facing uncertainty.

  • Strengthen relationships across communities and organizations.

  • Learn about local policy issues that affect our neighbors.

  • Encourage civic participation and community engagement.

  • Demonstrate solidarity with workers and families throughout Greater St. Cloud.

Building a Community Where Everyone Belongs

The Greater Minnesota Worker Center believes that our communities are strongest when all residents have the opportunity to live, work, and participate without fear. We are proud to stand alongside our partners and community members in support of immigrant families and workers throughout Greater Minnesota.

We hope to see you on January 23 as we come together to support one another, learn about important local issues, and demonstrate the power of community solidarity.

Together, we can ensure that St. Cloud remains a place where every person is treated with dignity, respect, and humanity.

In solidarity,

Greater Minnesota Worker Center
